Eddie Corney is a print based emerging artist living and working between Melbourne/Naarm and Rural Victoria. He specialises in etching techniques including photographic etching and chine collé.
Eddie’s practice investigates materiality, pattern, slowness, and connectedness. He works with themes of community and care ethics to form a methodology of practice rooted in softness and consideration.
Previous works demonstrate a keen interest in slow making and the agency of matter, working with material as an equal to allow creative emergence. Eddie is interested in the materiality of paper, fabric, copper, and the body, including how these converge and connect, and aims to find and display these connections within his work.
Eddie has been a part of group shows in Australia and Japan, and is looking forward to seeing where the future of his practice and exhibiting lies.
